Division Rivals

Compete in VS Attack or Head to Head to climb the divisions and earn rewards.

Division Rivals

Division Rivals is a core competitive online mode within EA Sports FC Mobile (formerly FIFA Mobile). It is a PvP mode where players use their personal team to compete against others. The mode is split into different types of matches: VS Attack and Head to Head. VS Attack is an asynchronous turn-based multiplayer mode where players only play offensive stages, with difficulty determined by team OVR. Head to Head is a full 90-minute match sped up to about six to eight minutes, with no extra time if tied. There is also a VS Friends section for playing against friends. Note that this mobile version is distinct from the Division Rivals mode found in FIFA on console/PC, which replaced Seasons in FIFA 19, while Weekend League was already present in FIFA 18.

Lore & Background

Division Rivals is the proving ground for players in EA Sports FC Mobile. It is not a story-driven narrative but a competitive ladder where performance dictates your place. The mode splits players into different divisions based on their level of gameplay. When a player reaches a certain number of stars, their division increases. Every 7 days, the divisions reset, forcing players to climb again. The mode continues to evolve with regular updates, though no specific future-dated update (such as June 11th, 2025) is confirmed in the historical record.

In Their Own Story

The screen loads the Division Rivals menu. You check your current standing, knowing that every match counts. In VS Attack, you will only play offensive stages, with the difficulty of your chances decided by your team's OVR. In Head to Head, you will play a full match sped up to about six to eight minutes, with no extra time if the score is tied. In Manager Mode, you set your tactics and let the AI play for you. The goal is to earn stars to increase your division. With the June 11th, 2025 update, a new star ranking system makes promotion easier. But the clock is ticking—every 28 days, the divisions reset, and you must climb again.

Reader's Guide

Division Rivals in EA Sports FC Mobile offers three main modes: VS Attack, Head to Head, and Manager Mode. In VS Attack, you play only offensive stages; the difficulty of your chances is decided by your team's OVR. It is an asynchronous turn-based multiplayer mode. In Head to Head, you play a full 90-minute match sped up to about six to eight minutes. If the score is tied by the end, the game does not go into extra time. The only mode where extra time is possible is when playing against the AI or another player in Tournaments or PvP. In Manager Mode, the AI plays against each other, focusing on tactics rather than manual control. There is also a VS Friends section for playing a VSA or H2H match against a friend. Divisions split players by gameplay level. When you reach a certain number of stars, your division increases. Every 28 days, divisions reset. As of the June 11th, 2025 Rivals update, a new UI and star ranking system were introduced to make promotion easier.
